For REALITY, released in 2003, Bowie wanted to write and create an album for his touring band  giving the record a much more straightforward rock and “Thrusty” sound as Bowie put it at the time. Again produced by Tony Visconti and recorded in New York where Bowie was by now living, the album hit the top 5 in the UK and went on to sell over 1million copies worldwide.
