Terms of service
Jacaranda Record Store — Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Jacaranda Record Store website at www.jacarandarecordstore.com.
By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
1. About Us
Jacaranda Record Store is an independent record store based in the UK.
References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Jacaranda Record Store. References to “you” and “your” mean the customer placing an order with us.
Our contact details are:

2. Products & Product Information
We aim to ensure that product descriptions, images, prices and other information on our website are accurate.
Product artwork, packaging, colours and other visual details may occasionally vary from the images shown on our website.
Vinyl records and other physical media can sometimes have minor manufacturing variations or imperfections. These do not necessarily mean that a product is faulty.
If a product is materially different from its description, faulty or otherwise does not conform to the contract, your statutory rights apply.
3. Product Availability
All products are subject to availability.
If we are unable to fulfil an order because an item is unavailable, we will contact you where possible and refund any payment made for the unavailable item.
We may impose reasonable purchase limits on limited editions, exclusives, Record Store Day releases or other high-demand products.
4. Pricing
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£), unless otherwise stated.
Applicable taxes and VAT are included or applied where required by law.
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices are accurate. If we discover an obvious pricing error, we may contact you before fulfilling the order.
If an order has been accepted and paid for but cannot reasonably be fulfilled at the incorrect price, we may cancel the affected order and provide a full refund.
5. Placing an Order
When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it.
This confirmation does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted. Acceptance of your order occurs when we confirm that the order has been accepted and/or begin fulfilling it.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
· A product is unavailable
· There is an obvious pricing or product description error
· Payment cannot be successfully processed
· We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity
· A purchase limit has been exceeded
· Multiple orders appear to have been placed to circumvent a purchase limit
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will provide any refund due.
6. Payment
Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We do not normally have access to your complete payment card details.
7. Dispatch & Delivery
We aim to dispatch in-stock orders within 1–3 working days.
Orders are normally processed Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.
Our main delivery provider is Royal Mail, although we may use another delivery service where appropriate.
Available delivery services and charges are displayed at checkout.
Delivery estimates begin after dispatch and are provided as estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
Dispatch may take longer during busy periods such as Christmas, Record Store Day and major release weeks.
8. In-Store Pickup / Click & Collect
Where available, customers may select In-Store Pickup at checkout.
Customers should wait for confirmation that an order is Ready for Pickup before travelling to the store.
When collecting an order, customers should have their order number or confirmation available. We may also request identification or confirmation of the name under which the order was placed.
If another person is collecting on your behalf, please contact us in advance and provide the collector’s name.
We will hold pickup orders for 3 months after notifying you that they are ready for collection.
If you cannot collect within this period, please contact us.
9. Pre-Orders
Pre-order release dates are supplied by labels, distributors and manufacturers and may change.
We aim to dispatch pre-orders as close as reasonably possible to the official release date, but cannot guarantee release-day delivery.
Where an order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we will normally hold the order until all items are available unless alternative arrangements have been agreed.
10. UK Shipping Only
We currently ship directly to UK addresses only.
We do not currently offer direct international shipping.
Customers outside the UK may use a third-party mail forwarding service that provides them with a UK delivery address.
11. Mail Forwarding
Where a third-party forwarding service is used, the customer is responsible for providing the correct UK forwarding address and any customer or account reference required by the forwarding company.
Our delivery responsibility is normally fulfilled once the order has been delivered to the UK forwarding address supplied.
Any onward transportation, customs charges, import duties, taxes, loss or damage occurring after delivery to the forwarding address is the responsibility of the customer and/or forwarding service, subject to applicable law.
12. Delivery Problems
If tracking shows that a parcel has been delivered but you have not received it, please contact us.
We may need to investigate the delivery with Royal Mail or the relevant carrier before determining the appropriate resolution.
Where a forwarding service has been used and the parcel has already been delivered to the forwarding address, subsequent delivery issues should normally be raised with the forwarding service.
13. Delivery Addresses
You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery address is complete and accurate.
We will try to accommodate address changes requested before dispatch, but cannot guarantee that changes can be made after an order has been processed.
If a parcel is returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, additional postage may be required before it can be resent.
14. Limited Editions & Purchase Limits
We may limit the number of units of certain products that one customer, household, account or address can purchase.
We reserve the right to cancel or refund orders where we reasonably believe that purchase limits have been deliberately circumvented.
15. Record Store Day & Special Releases
Record Store Day products and other special releases may be subject to specific purchase limits and availability restrictions.
Stock quantities may be limited and we cannot guarantee availability.
16. Cancellation
You may have a statutory right to cancel certain online purchases within the applicable cancellation period.
Further information is provided in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
If you wish to cancel an order before dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate the request but cannot guarantee cancellation once fulfilment or dispatch has begun.
17. Returns & Refunds
Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains our procedures for cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes your statutory rights.

19. Website Availability
We aim to keep our website available and accurate but cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available.
We may occasionally suspend or modify the website for maintenance, updates or other operational reasons.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including postal disruption, severe weather, strikes, transport disruption, technical failures or other events beyond our reasonable control.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
21. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on our website.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to your order will generally be the version in force when you place that order, unless a change is required by law or otherwise applies to your order.
23. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you will also retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the laws of the country in which you live.
